Sir Keniyo Thokchom’s insights about the importance of market research have given us the clarity of how one should proceed with the production. Sir Birjeet Yanglem’s advice, “Let the department pursue you as you do your work sincerely” is very commendable. Sir Dipu Tayenjam’s presentation on Plant Diseases have also opened our eyes to be able to differentiate different plant diseases. Also Sir Homen Kangjam have made us aware about the flowers market chain, its value, and the effect of pandemic on it. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to FARMS for organizing an online workshop “Integrated Pest and Disease Management“. Through this workshop I can grasp some consciousness about how to mitigate and cope with the present scenarios of farming in Manipur particularly about Paddy insect pest. The various mechanisms of insects & how to control them before it reached the Economic Threshold Level (ETL) were clearly explained in such a manner that it can be understood by both the farmers as well as students.
First of all I would like to thank the organizer for conducting webinar series on “integrated pest and disease management”. This session was very helpful to me and gain more knowledge about how to apply pesticides when and why by explaining various important concepts. Once again I would like to thank a FARMS organizer for providing such valuable insight.
A very informative and valuable, I really enjoyed the workshop organised by FARMS. What really strikes me is the technique and strategies which can be used in pest management and also the workshop offers guidence to access various pest control strategies available to today’s agriculture.
